European
Guided Journeys

A continent stitched together by centuries of art, cuisine, and conquest, best traveled slowly, in the company of someone who knows which door to knock on. Three ways to move through Europe, each with its own rhythm and depth.

46°N · The Approach Section I

Europe rewards the traveler who lingers

The temptation in Europe is to see everything, and in doing so, to see nothing at all. A guided journey done well is the opposite of a checklist. It is a route drawn with restraint, a private guide who opens doors closed to the public, and the gift of time: a long lunch, an afternoon detour, an evening that runs later than planned because the conversation was too good to leave.

Europe's density is its gift and its trap. In a single day you can cross three languages, four cuisines, and a thousand years of architecture. The guided journey exists to make sense of that density, to filter the overwhelming into the essential.

The question is not where to go, but how deeply. A private guide in Florence can take you to the Uffizzi before the doors open. A barge captain in Burgundy can introduce you to the winemaker whose family has tended the same slope since 1789. Depth, not distance, is the point.

Three ways to move through Europe

Each style suits a different pace and appetite. The right choice depends on how you like to wake up, how much you want unpacked each night, and how many people you're traveling with.

The city that
built itself on water

Venice is the argument for a guided journey made tangible. Without a guide, you will see St. Mark's and the Rialto and leave. With one, you will see the workshop where masks are still made by hand, the quiet canal where locals walk their dogs at dusk, and the bacaro where the cicchetti have not changed in three generations.

The city is best at its edges, the first morning light on the Grand Canal, the last vaporetto back to a quiet sestiere. A private guide knows how to time it so you are standing in the right place when the light turns.

The view is
always the point

Whether it is the terraced hills of the Amalfi Coast, a Tuscan valley at harvest, or the rooftops of a medieval hill town at golden hour, Europe's great gift is the panorama. A guided journey is built around them: the right terrace, the right hour, the right glass of wine.

What every guided journey includes

01

Private guide & vehicle

A dedicated, English-speaking driver-guide and private vehicle, yours for the full duration, not shared with other parties.

02

Hand-picked hotels

Boutique and top-tier properties selected for location and character, never chain hotels, never on the outskirts. Walk out your door into the city.

03

Curated dining

Reservations at restaurants chosen for craft, not convenience, from Michelin-starred tasting menus to the trattoria the family has run since 1962.

04

Skip-the-line access

Reserved-entry tickets to the major sites and private after-hours access where available. You do not stand in line on a guided journey.

05

Local specialists

Subject experts, art historians, sommeliers, and chefs, who join your journey for specific experiences and add depth a single guide cannot.

06

24/7 on-trip support

A direct line to our team for the duration of your trip. If a plan needs to change, it changes. If something goes wrong, it is fixed.
